I heard Bijoux's name in KUVO, Susan's show so, I desiced to check out this show. My job has been slow but definetly this show made my day. Bijoux and Eric are Nelson Rangel band at Jazz@Jacks lately I started going. That sax guy was at Rob Mullins, the drum guy was at CharlesGatschet's show..all the musicians are scrambled in local shows. I try not to think too much about it...it starts giving me headache. Bijoux said "this is 2nd time play with them." as usual. He gets sheets and just play. Still he looked he was having fun, smiling a lot. Acording to Eric, Mr. Stranahan is retired teacher from high school in Cherrycreek. His introduction of songs help me to appreciate his music. He said he worked hard on arrangement of "Autumn Leaves". It did sounded uniqe and I liked how the band played unison with that rythm. I express season by colors and texture. It must be fun that the musicians play this song to enjoy autumn days. |
