Concert goer's talk

Return to Forever reunion tour goes around and they were in Denver on June 3. Denver's smoothjazz radio station went off a month after NY one did and I started listening the other jazz station. I heard CM about this. I wasn't crazy like "I want get front row seat." A few days after, I got ticket way back. It turned to SOLD OUT show so, it was better than nothing.

I wanted Chick Corea's autograph on LPs so I sent flower(with a little respect) but they were not going to have Meet & Greet like some other friendly smooth jazz musicians.

I heard a guys were talking behind me, VIP meet&greet ticket was $250 besids show ticket.

I still tried to get autograph and I asked head security guy, he kind of checked by radio somebody. I was talking to one of security lady and she asked me if I was at Jazz fest last year. I was....That's what happens by wearing same outfit, necklace sandals everything . I only wore it once but it's my favorit color.
The lady next to me said my outfit was pretty. I said hers, too. She said "but yours is spirkly..." later, when Cheick Corea started audience paticipation, she was found to be a quite singer.
When the show started
One of string synth was not working, Mr. Corea turned around, looking for something, a guy checking conection...I was distracted by seeing that. I couldn't concentrate into the show. A while back, one of president candidate had a fly on his white hair at debate. Who can listen to what he was saying. The song went on without Mr. Corea and it wasn't sound too bad. He used the other symth as if all the kitchen helper cook basic and the chef gives final touch.
So my eyes and ears went

Al Dimeola --oh, gahh. I love the melody play, long sastained electric guitar. Flamenco like play with acoustics was great, too.

Stanley Clarke -- who else can come up front with base like him? strong Chopper with Jeff Beck like arm circle action, I thought Marcus Miller was great but he's way over that. Plus he played wood base with bow.

Acoustics
After intermission, they came back with acoustic setting. I felt right awy, "Hey, this is just like Guirats&Saxes acoustics session, they did last year.

Guitars&Saxes 2007

Specially, Chick Corea walked up to Al Dimeola with drum sticks or something, just like Kirk Whrum mumblinng by Jeff Golub.
I wrote to Jeff...
Hi Jeff;
I went to RTF reunion concert last night.
I expected Chick Corea before the show but I liked Al Dimola and Stanley Clerk. As a group, sounded good, too.
They did electric and acoustics one. I wonder if they got hint from last year's G&S. If so, you should charge them concert programming :)

Jeff
Yoshiko,
Unfortunately I don't think Al Dimiola would respond well to me sending him a
bill for playing acoustic guitar.
Thanks,
Jeff

Every song they play brought back memories when I listened to the LPs. I don't have LP player hooked up now so, I haven't listened to their songs lately so, I must have listened to a lot back then. the song they did in acoustic was originally electric in album in my memory.

They were having fun themselves. They seemed to be happy to be back on the stage 25years later. Hearing they are saying so many times made me feel like attending boring wedding, smeone at work had baby and brings baby but not specially cute and I don't know what to say.
